Oysters are often associated with Valentine’s Day because they are known to be an aphrodisiac. This recipe for Oyster Ceviche is delicious served with gluten-free crackers or pita chips! If raw fish isn’t your thing, a cheese platter with Heart Shaped Figs is an adorable way to impress your guest.
After an unseasonably warm winter so far, February is proving to be not quite as kind as January. As the weather gets colder, warm up your dinner guest with a festive red soup such as this Roasted Beet Soup with Crème Fraiche and Dill or this Fire Roasted Tomato Soup with Crispy Chickpeas!
Keep the romance going into the next course with a Red Salad made with an assortment of sweet and bitter red fruits and vegetables or this Sweetheart Salad with roasted beets cut in the shape of hearts.
These cute Beet and Goat Cheese Ravioli are surprisingly easy to make and are a delicious way to show someone how much you care. Or, serve this sweet and toasty Honey Macadamia Halibut if you are looking for a lighter main dish.
And finally, on to the best part of Valentine’s Day! End your meal with a delicious, healthy dessert of Chocolate Covered Pomegranate Seeds or splurge a little bit with this recipe for Gluten-Free Red Velvet Cupcakes. Either way, you wont be disappointed!
Breakfast (Bonus Recipe!)
When I was growing up, my parents always showed us some love on Valentine’s Day with an extra special breakfast! To show your family how much you care, whip up a batch of these Almond Pancakes. To make them extra special, place a heart shaped cookie cutter with a wooden or plastic handle on the hot pan, and then pour the batter in. Remove the cutter when batter begins to bubble, and the pancakes will keep their heart shape after you flip them!
Happy Valentine's Day!
